Why Ukrainians need your help
You’ve heard of the war in Ukraine, right?
What you probably don’t know is that war brought a humanitarian crisis to this region. Tens of thousands of houses were destroyed, supply chains of food, medicine, and essentials were broken.
Prices are up 30-200% for most basic goods. People were left homeless without food, clothes, or critical medical items they need to sustain the life of their family members. They do not have stable work or income. We want to help them survive and find a way to rebuild their lives.

From Human to Human
Human Hearts United is a new, direct way to help and feel like you’re making a real difference
- You decide who to support
- Your money go directly to the person (the family)
- You get feedback and gratitude from the helpee
- You can support a chosen person (family) for a period of time
- You don’t pay for the management or our platform (unless you choose to)
While your money go directly to families, your donations are tax-deductible. We are working in collaboration with US 501(c)3 registered Charity organization “Ukrainians in Colorado”.
How it works:
-
Step 1. Request is derived and approved
Our volunteer gets a request and applies the due diligence procedure.
-
Step 2. A person (a family) in need is enrolled
All recipients who approved and consent to sharing their information are shown on a HHU platform.
-
Step 3. A giver finds a helpee they connect with.
The giver chooses a person (a family) to support on an HHU platform.
-
Step 4. The request is covered
The donation goes to the person that a giver is connected to above.
-
Step 5. The needs are covered
A helpee gets and spends money, sending a report of the expenses to a volunteer.
-
Step 6. The giver gets feedback and a photo report from the helpee (HHU will send it to the giver by email).
A helpee thanks a giver (in a free form of text that is google translated) and sends a photo report. This is a very valuable opportunity for the helpee to express their gratitude.
-
Step 7. An updated request of the helpee is covered by the same giver (if they wish).
Once approved, our helpee can send a number of requests for a period of 6 months maximum. If a giver would like to keep supporting the same helpee, she can send money several times during this period.

FAQ
Where are the requests from?
For now, we are mostly working with areas of Ukraine impacted by war. Further on, we plan to work with any place in the world where humans need help from their fellow humans.
What am I sending money for?
We only support requests for basic needs to save and sustain human life: food, medicine, simple housing, warm clothes.
Who are we? Why are we doing this?
We are a group of friends, originally from Ukraine and Russia, living in Colorado. We have family members, friends, and colleagues living in both Ukraine and Russia. We feel deep empathy for the people impacted by the Russia-Ukraine war because it is, quite literally, close to home, and we understand what they are going through. We have helped Ukrainian people using our personal means for the last few months. But their suffering and needs are so much greater than we are able to relieve without your help.
Will I get my tax deduction form?
While we are in the process of registration, you will get the tax deduction form from our non-profit fiscal partner, Ukranians of Colorado.
How do you select requests and check if there’s a real need present?
All requests have been selected and accessed by our local volunteer using strict rules of due diligence procedure. Our volunteers also ensure that a helpee gets the money and spends it accordingly.
Is there any recommended sum of money to donate?
Any amount is welcomed. Even $10 can keep someone alive for a few more days in the areas we work.
Why support a person or a family for a period of time?
If you want to be closer to your helpee and see their progress of recovery, it’s a great way to feel like you’re helping long-term. The maximum support time for one recipient is 6 months here (we get our helpees out of life-threatening situations but inspire them to move further on their own).
There are so many charities, why should I choose Human Hearts United?
Our service has been created as an open platform to connect real people to give and receive crucial help. Other donation platforms do not allow you to donate to a specific recipient, be sure when and by whom your support was received, feel that you really helped someone, and be able to thank a giver.
